Mama at the 7 month mark

The 1st time she sat in the shopping cart was today.... it made grocery shopping much easier. She liked it.

I was thrilled to hear Lydia say Mama today : ) At first I thought it was a fluke. Then Thomas came home and Lydia was hanging out with him and he called me upstairs to hear her say it! She did....with some crying involved, since it was almost bedtime. My heart melted !!!
She is 7 months today.
Blogging is nice. Now I can go back and fill in the correct dates into her baby book : )

Daily life

Above, the torture devise.... apples

Lydia helping Daddy work during the blizzard

I have been singing, clapping, laughing, whatever I can think of for a smile. Take the camera away and her pretty little face shines. When will they create invisible cameras !!

Our angel !!

Thomas is in awe that she is now a person LOL !! The infant look is gone for sure : )
She sits very well. Hates fruit.... presses her little lips together and refuses : )
Loves the jumper and concentrates for a long time on toys she is trying to figure out.
Still won't smile for the camera! I try not to get annoyed but jump though hoops trying to make it happen. Stay tuned... some day it will happen.

Cousin Mickey will be missed

Our dear family member, Laura Perry also known as cousin Mickey, passed away January 23 in California. She was unable to attend our wedding and has been sick off and on ever since. Last weekend, she was honored by friends and family in a small service here in Virginia where she will be laid to rest. Thomas and I are sad Lydia will not get a chance to know her. She was an amazing women with wisdom and kindness. I enjoyed one visit with her before our wedding. She came to dinner with Ray and pat to our soon to be home. We played games and I learned that she had met Martin Luther King !! I always wished she lived closer, so I could learn more about this amazing women. You will be missed, Cousin... and we look forward to seeing you in Glory!

This photo is of her son Cousin Howard and his wife Cousin Nuru,
Ray, pat and the 3 of us.

A few

She looks more like her Daddy everyday!

This picture makes me laugh : ) The very heavy blanket under her made her hot, but with all this cold weather, she had to be covered ( there is a layer on top too ). So, I took her socks off and boy was she happy! Like mother Like Daughter : )

Before and now

I was looking for a shot of the entire swing, but couldn't find one ! Here she is at one month and then again at 6+

Bounce baby gurl bounce!

6 1/2 months and would stay in the jumper all day if you would let her !!!
