Daddy came home to an awesome surprise!

Reflux wedge

We were blessed last week by a friend who's daughter also had reflux. She gave us this great incline wedge for Lydia to sleep on. She is strapped in so she can't slide down. It works great and Lydia doesn't mind it at all. Keeping them upright is the 1st rule for reflux. She is almost sleeping
through the night! Colic is still effecting our days : ( We will all be glad when the colic is gone!

The picture above was taken this afternoon. It captures something that reminds both Kristy and I of our Grandma Glo, who passed away . It's fun to see Grandma in Lydia.

Our girl Baby : )

Lydia is 9 weeks today! And she slept through the night for the 1st time. I didn't : ) I would wake up and think she was going to wake any minute. Finally I got up to shower. She slept until 6am, when she usually eats! It was great. She woke up happy and well rested. We have been dealing with colic and reflux a lot and it's been rough. Lots of crying spells. Things are starting to get better. Her little body seems to be maturing ( I won't go into detail, but I'm changing more dirty diapers ; )

Daddy says " Owl....raccoon.....chipmunk". These are some of her favorite toys attached to her bouncy seat. Pictured here is the raccoon. She loves to study them. Thomas is teaching her their names daily.

Lydia is always doing funny things with her hands! Here she is again pulling her paci out of her mouth. She likes to hold it!

Lydia enjoyed snuggling with Auntie Kris : )

Labor Day weekend

3 years ago this weekend, Thomas and I had our 1st date right here... seeing the sights in DC! Amazing how fast things change. It was fun to reflect on all that has happened since then. The changes have been so good! We are very Happy with Gods plans for us. He did good ; )

Go Hokies !! We know...the 1st game was rough. We are hoping for a great season though.

Christina came to hang out and we actually played a round of cards! She and Jenn met last labor day weekend, I believe.... it was sometime in the fall.

We enjoyed the sights of DC. Lydia was not too impressed with the city. Her Auntie Kris liked it though.

We actually found 2 parking spots downtown. Yes Auntie Kelly.. we did pray first : ) One was right across from the White House. We walked less than a block!
We enjoyed our visit so much.

One for Grammy

My Mom has been waiting for years to buy for her grandbabies : ) This adorable hair piece is one of her finds! Too cute.

Thomas and Lydia holding hands

Thomas loves coming home and spending time with Lydia. She loves it too! Last night she held the string on his pants : ) It was cute since this is the 1st time she's held onto something
I know.... crazy parents! We think she's something special.

Tummy time is becoming a favorite time of day!

Back to work!

It's time to get back to work! I missed seeing the girls daily and it was fun to introduce them to Lydia. She was a big hit and both days were spent focused on miss Lydia. Jessica and Sarah started school yesterday, Sarah's 1st day of Kindergarten. I will still get to see them 2 afternoons a week.
Monday we spent the day with her best buddy Kyle and his Mommy and twin brothers ( above ) a last hurrah before they go to different schools. Kyle's Mom, Amy Beth was one of my 1st friends in VA, thanks to Kyle and Sarah's crushes!!

Jessica is in 5th grade this year and was a huge with Lydia this week!

Sarah enjoyed holding Lydia. Luckily Lydia did not mind : )
