Teething again

Snotty nose go away. Your annoying.

Veggies.....

Mommy... I hate this garden veggie mix, but ok... I guess I can pose.

Enough already! Get this stuff out of my month.

Time with loved ones

Lydia had a big smile for Grandpa!

Grandma, I will be more gentle with your lips than with Daddies !

Miss Christina came to play!

8 months : )

Lydia's stats....... two teeth, frustration from sitting still, lots of chatting, excitement when Daddy comes home, anger when put down for sleeping, dislike for food with flavor, love for puffs and rice crackers, a better time on our tummy and she is starting to get on her knees when put on her belly. Just a few updates ! She continues to love people and flirts with anyone who pays attention at the store. She's about 15 lbs and getting long! I look forward to the 9 month stats from the Dr.

Two front teeth!

If you look close, you can tell that her bottom teeth have come in...at the same time. Crabby city!

1st swing ride

Something new and fun to do !!

Lydia standing on her own for Thomas last week....not sure how it got in here, but here it is!

It's March and 70 degrees !! Beautiful : ) Lydia enjoyed getting out and swinging for the 1st time.
She was really laughing at first...when I didn't have the camera in hand.

Bows

I discovered today that Lydia's hair is almost long enough for barrettes : )

She isn't feeling too hot right now... I'm too tired for pictures Mommy.

I'm surprised she kept them in so long !

Playdate with Garrett

Liddy and I ended up with a Monday at home and decided to go to Garrett's house to play. You might remember him from a few weeks before Lydia was born : ) Thomas and I went to visit Garrett and his Mom and Dad in the hospital ( our friends Chris and Kelly )
Lydia is very quiet in groups of people. Garrett and Kelly were a little surprised how vocal she was. She chatted up a storm!

It's so fun to watch them grow!!

Garrett is pretty amused with Lydia : )

Mama at the 7 month mark

The 1st time she sat in the shopping cart was today.... it made grocery shopping much easier. She liked it.

I was thrilled to hear Lydia say Mama today : ) At first I thought it was a fluke. Then Thomas came home and Lydia was hanging out with him and he called me upstairs to hear her say it! She did....with some crying involved, since it was almost bedtime. My heart melted !!!
She is 7 months today.
Blogging is nice. Now I can go back and fill in the correct dates into her baby book : )

Daily life

Above, the torture devise.... apples

Lydia helping Daddy work during the blizzard

I have been singing, clapping, laughing, whatever I can think of for a smile. Take the camera away and her pretty little face shines. When will they create invisible cameras !!

Our angel !!

Thomas is in awe that she is now a person LOL !! The infant look is gone for sure : )
She sits very well. Hates fruit.... presses her little lips together and refuses : )
Loves the jumper and concentrates for a long time on toys she is trying to figure out.
Still won't smile for the camera! I try not to get annoyed but jump though hoops trying to make it happen. Stay tuned... some day it will happen.

Cousin Mickey will be missed

Our dear family member, Laura Perry also known as cousin Mickey, passed away January 23 in California. She was unable to attend our wedding and has been sick off and on ever since. Last weekend, she was honored by friends and family in a small service here in Virginia where she will be laid to rest. Thomas and I are sad Lydia will not get a chance to know her. She was an amazing women with wisdom and kindness. I enjoyed one visit with her before our wedding. She came to dinner with Ray and pat to our soon to be home. We played games and I learned that she had met Martin Luther King !! I always wished she lived closer, so I could learn more about this amazing women. You will be missed, Cousin... and we look forward to seeing you in Glory!

This photo is of her son Cousin Howard and his wife Cousin Nuru,
Ray, pat and the 3 of us.
